Spain Has Won The Biggest Casino Jackpot On Playtech Slot Game

2 Sep 2019

Casino software developer, Playtech, has managed to secure a great following from its player base. With its newfound games and improvements to their features, they have become more popular than ever before. Now that popularity has skyrocketed with a player from Spain who has managed to win the biggest jackpot from one of their titles amounting to 1,510,172.82 Euros. The name of the game that awarded this amount was one of their newest titles, Gladiator: Road to Rome.

This prize was calculated at more than 10x the regular amount that can be won through the game’s regular means. It is said that the previous prize won that held the title for the largest sum was only 130,000 Euros, which was from the slot game DC Superheroes jackpot series. And that was only from the same year, earlier in May. Calculating the total number of jackpots that have been won by players starting from April 2015, this brings their total payout to an impressive sum of 7.3 million.

Gladiator: Road to Rome is a game with a simple theme. Based on the hit 2000 film which won an Oscar for its incredible story-telling, the game already resonated with players with its popularity. It is, in fact, a sequel game, with the previous instalment simply going by the movie title, Gladiator. The game was packed with inventive bonus features that assisted in helping the player increase their earnings through multiplying symbols and special jackpot symbols which offer instant prizes.

The COO of Playtech, Shimon Akad, issued the following statement regarding this recent news. He said: “Spain is a growing market with significant long-term potential and Codere is a key local partner for us, so it’s a great step forward to have awarded one of their players Spain’s biggest online gambling prize to date”.

News of this event will be spread to many other places, possibly creating new opportunities for Playtech to help spread its wings further into other markets.
