SBC Events has officially changed the CasinoBeats Malta 2020 online casino conference and exhibition, that was set to take place in June at the InterContinental in Malta, to CasinoBeats Malta Digital, a three-day virtual conference, exhibition, and networking experience.
The changes were made following the current coronavirus pandemic that has forced a full or partial lockdown in nearly all European countries, thereby limiting traveling and freedom to move around. The digital conference is now going to take place from 30th June to 2nd July.
CasinoBeats Malta Digital will incorporate the same technological advancements that were used during the SBC Digital Summit late last month. The two companies, GamingMalta and CasinoBeats, are working hand-in-hand to ensure that the key elements from the actual physical conference will be virtually available to all participants worldwide.
After the changes were confirmed, Ivan Filletti, GamingMalta’s Chief Operations Officer, released a statement indicating that the virtual conference will be a good platform for revealing Malta’s strengths in the current iGaming industry. He added that the conference would feature 120 leading speakers who are scheduled to share innovative ideas and insights regarding the current iGaming industry.
Stewart Darkin, the Managing Director of CasinoBeats, also expressed his optimism stating that despite the ongoing pandemic and its adverse effects across the industry, individuals in the iGaming world should work together to steer forward. He added that the virtual conference would feature multiple speakers, exhibitors, and sponsors and that they anticipated about 3,000 delegates to attend.
The conference’s main agenda is to highlight how best the gaming industry can cope with the current Covid-19 pandemic effects, but there will also be talks regarding the compliance and payment challenges experienced in the past months.
