The NOVOMATIC Interactive brand named Greentube, has made an official donation to the application provider, BetBlocker. The donation relates to the annual Research, Entertainment and Treatment, also known as RET. The purpose of this donation is to help support the development and organization into self-exclusion software, which is designed to tackle against problem gambling through player limitations.
BetBlocker is officially licensed by the UK Gambling Commission and has grown thanks to numerous donations. BetBlocker’s primary purpose is to give player’s the devices to block out any websites that are related to gambling. This will help player’s in preventing access to any gambling websites that wish to advertise to them so it will not tempt them. Greentube especially will be using this technology and implementing it into their iOS app. This also means that it can help players block adult-related applications as well. Security systems, customer services and other related matters will be given an upgrade alongside it.
The RET donations provided by Greentube are part of the voluntary network that is fully supported by the UKGC as it promotes further player protection. This same company donates to Gamble Aware as well, as they proceed with their goals of helping the prevention of further gambling-related problems.
Chief Legal Officer of Greentube, Trevor De Giorgio, released the following comment after the donation was handed out:
“We fully support BetBlocker’s commitment to providing their software free of charge to both users and operators.”
Continued operations will be in effect in order to further support player access to online gambling.
BetBlocker’s, Duncan Garvie, also states how Greentube is actually one of the first major brands to come out and support their project. It will prove invaluable when developing new ways for player’s to protect themselves. Especially during the long periods of time where players will be most vulnerable to the risk of developing gambling addiction or other related problems.
