On Wednesday, IGT, a global leader in the iGaming, announced that it had signed a long-term sports betting agreement with Nevada-based Boyd Gaming Corporation. Per the terms of the agreement, Boyd Gaming Cooperation will now leverage IGT’s PlaySports platform to support its retail sports betting operations throughout Nevada.
Therefore, both Boyd Gaming’s mobile sports betting app and online sports betting website in Nevada will be powered by IGT’s PlaySports technology. On top of that, the US casino operator will set up IGT’s PlaySports self-service stalls in all its gaming venues in Nevada to seamlessly integrate its retail and interactive betting facilities. The two betting firms will employ a phased approach as they work on rolling out new features and services related to this technology agreement.
This partnership will introduce a dynamic omnichannel sports gambling product that will stand out across Nevada’s gaming industry and the USA at large. After all the services are rolled out, the Boyd Gaming sportsbook will not only be one of the most mature sports betting platforms but also one of the highest volume sports betting facilities in the entire United States.
On top of offering a leading-edge progressive betting program, the PlaySports platform also enables Boyd Gaming to provide enhanced backend system navigation. As such, it can seamlessly update its app content consistent with real-time data and accompanying analytics. Players on the other side of things will then effortlessly enjoy a broad array of betting options and interface-based features for a better experience.
IGT and Boyd Gaming Cooperation have had an excellent betting partnership since 2018. Besides Boyd Nevada, IGT’s PlaySports platform also powers sports betting platforms at Boyd Gaming-owned assets in Mississippi, Iowa, Indiana, and Pennsylvania.
