Konami Gaming Inc., the revered U.S.-based subsidiary of Konami Holding Corp, a Japanese conglomerate of gaming and entertainment, has announced an update of its Synkros casino management platform. In a press release, the company indicated that it had rolled out a new set of features in the face of Covid-19 to facilitate the fight towards preventing new infections.
Part of the new features that Konami has introduced include slot machine cleaning and customer solutions. Due to the Coronavirus, features such as automated reporting sequences to activate gaming machine cleaning and sanitization on the lobby of casino floors have been a topic of interest of late.
In response to that, Konami developed, tested and released a ‘system-delivered solution’ that will optimize the process of cleaning cabinet slot machines in between customer use. Upon release, the company offered the new feature at no extra charge to existing Synkros clients as part of its support undertakings.
Other than the self-cleaning trigger, the new features of the Synkros system include a combination of synchronized communications, instantaneous alerts and analytic reports to assist the casino floor workforce in monitoring and managing the disinfection of slot machine cabinets after a player use.
Better yet, a player can also make a cleaning request of the machine through a player tracking LCD screen. When a player completes their gaming session, the machine switches to an automated waiting period, displaying a “waiting to be sanitized” pop up message on the screen, complete with a timestamp to indicate the last time that the machine was cleaned.
