NetEnt Offers Something Bigger With Butterfly Staxx 2™

27 Aug 2019

NetEnt just upped the ante with its new game, Butterfly Staxx 2™, which is a sequel to its magical predecessor slot machine. In this new release, the game received a new feature through a pick-and-click bonus that offers more chances for a player to win.

Butterfly Staxx 2™ operates on five reels. But unlike normal slot machines, this one has four rows on each slot column or reel. It offers players 40 pay lines, and there are three areas that a player can unlock with a small investment of a single bet. These three play areas only open in the bonus rounds, and there are basically three slot machines that will operate at the cost of a single wager.

The play areas have independent reels, and they all spin at the same time. This is an innovation to the game that will only get triggered if the player successfully unlocks the re-spin bonus round. The bonus round is triggered after a player stacks a reel with butterflies. The second way to unlock it is to choose the Butterfly Spins if a bonus game is awarded.

Apart from the bonus, the player can enjoy the Butterfly Frenzy. In it, the player can take advantage of the new pick-and-click feature where he/she has to select butterflies that award coins. This bonus round has five levels, and each stage offers 10 picks.

According to Bryan Upton, NetEnt Director of Games, Butterfly Staxx 2™ is a highly-anticipated sequel to the successful original. The developers amplified the game engines, so the slot machine can cater to the needs of the players and meet their expectations.

He further elaborated that the game had been designed with the player’s entertainment and stickiness in mind, that the enhanced player interaction as an added feature could mean more engagement and success. He also added that such success was made possible by the pick-and-click bonus system.
