The UK Gambling Commission has underscored the success of its innovative online support service for the management and maintenance of personal gaming licenses. This ground-breaking online service was unveiled back in November 2019 to make the process of maintaining licenses much easier and quicker as well.
Thanks to the new service, the UKGC has reduced the processing speed of applications of personal license maintenance by an impressive 77%, from an initial average processing time of 53 days down to only 12 days! Additionally, the time it takes for holders of a personal license to fill in and submit an application for maintenance has been cut down from a couple of days to less than 1 hour. This has thus reduced the administration time it takes to handle the personal license maintenance applications, thereby boosting efficiency for the entire process.
On behalf of the Gambling Commission, Executive Director Helen Venn released a statement saying that the regulator is consistently looking for ways to improve the efficiency of the regulation process. Accordingly, the bolstered system for the management of personal licenses is a clear indication of UKGC’s commitment toward its goal of optimal efficiency.
The new system has particularly played a critical role during the government-mandated shutdowns across the UK because applicants could quickly upload their scanned documents rather than sending the hard copies via post. In her statement, Executive Director Venn further reiterated accessibility of services as one of the most vital pillars for the Commission’s operations, and that is why they launched a faster way of allowing all users to quickly and easily manage and maintain their personal licenses.
