Playtech To Use Native-First Product Line In Response To iOS Changes

As the world’s leading company in gambling technology, new services are being introduced to adapt to the changes and restrictions that occur within the ever-changing market. Now, in response to the recent iOS changes within Apple products, Playtech has now decided to launch a new, native-first product line to assist operators who are adapting to these new changes within the Apple App Store guidelines. This new service will be released on September 3rd.

Specifically, the new guidelines that are being changed are clause 4.7. What this entails is mainly to do with real money gambling, charitable donations and digital commerce. All of which are integrated with apps served by the Apple Store. A large number of operators have had to update their services to make their iOS native or else they could have their apps fully removed from the app store entirely.

Beforehand, Playtech has been issuing a native casino app for a total of 3 years. However, an increase in native products has been demanded thanks to the guideline changes introduced in June. Native-based gaming and native games will all be allowed from the native-first product line. This will help benefit customers so that they can build apps towards a more native fanbase. Using a Software Development Kit, this will allow them to operate without investing in outside development sources, which usually cost more money.

Chief Technology Officer of Playtech Games Innovation Labs, Peter Mares, issued the following statement regarding the release of this new service. He said: “Luckily, we have been in the game for a very long time and understand that in order to succeed, we need to provide a solution that is guaranteed to help our licensees continue operating as usual”. Playtech will aim to help as many target markets as needed so that they can become the leading service provider in the world and become more trusted within their community.
