Playtech, one of the frontrunning innovators of gambling technology, has announced a new partnership with the Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) non-profit organization to reinforce industry insights that will foster the advancement and understanding of safer gambling, mental health and digital welfare. In case you were wondering, the RGC is a Canada-based independent global leader in the prevention, sensitization and research of compulsive gambling with over 35 years of experience in the field, locally and globally.
Through this new collaboration, Playtech will be supporting the RGC in the noble mission to study the relationship between mental health, digital wellness and gambling via a combination of research, thought leadership and the assessment of initiatives. All the research and assessments under this new partnership will benefit from Playtech’s experience and expertise, whereas RGC will bring in its broad-ranging perspective from working with gaming watchdogs, operators, treatment facilitators as well as the gambling population worldwide.
Playtech’s new arrangement with the RGC is in line with the gaming company’s Sustainable Success, a sustainability and responsible business strategy that seeks to join hands with world leaders on research, information and tech initiative in a bid to boost digital and mental wellbeing and promote safer gambling. The new partnership effectively strengthens Playtech’s commitment to position safer gambling as the foundational backbone of all the products and services that it offers.
Under this collaboration, RGC and Playtech will use ground-breaking research, data and technology to develop policies and products that will assist in the identification of venerable consumers through AI and roll out tailored safer gambling interventions.
