Desperados Wild Megaways Slot – An Expert Overview
Before playing the Desperados Wild Megaways free play demo, take a look at our expert breakdown of what the game has to offer:
Gameplay Mechanics
This game uses the Megaways mechanic, meaning each reel can have up to 7 symbols per spin, creating a total of 117,649 paylines. The game also uses cascading reels, where winning symbols are removed and replaced by the ones above. This creates the potential for multiple wins in a single spin and makes the game a lot of fun to play.
Theme and Storyline
Desperados Wild Megaways has a Wild West theme; the game’s highest-paying symbols follow it, featuring pistols, whisky bottles, dynamite, and a Sheriff’s badge. The soundtrack fits the country-western vibe, and we really like how the symbols shake before exploding when part of a winning combination.
Bonus Features and Jackpot
The main feature of Desperados Wild Megaways is its free spins bonus round. You can unlock the feature by finding 4 or more Scatters on the board in a single spin. After triggering the bonus, you can choose between Sunset Free Spins or Jail House Free Spins:
- Sunset Free Spins Feature – You start with 8 FS, and each cascading reel increases the win multiplier by 1x. Find 3 additional Scatters to unlock 5 more spins, or 4 Scatters to receive 10 more spins.
- Jail House Free Spins Feature – In this feature, you get 12 FS, and all Wilds are sticky and lock in the Megaways reel, remaining in place for the duration of the bonus. If you fill a reel with Wild symbols, you get an extra 5 spins.
Before choosing your bonus round, you can spin the Bonus Top Up Wheel for the chance at a better bonus or a cash prize. We recommend using the Desperados Wild Megaways free play demo to familiarise yourself with these features.
Bet Size and Limits
This game has a minimum betting limit of £0.20 and max limit of £20. These lower limits make the game better for casual players, as some high rollers may feel restricted by the £20 max.
Desperados Wild Megaways RTP and Volatility
This slot has a 96.49% RTP rate, so you’d expect to receive £96.49 back on average for every £100 you wager. This is above the average we’d expect to see for a modern slot. However, the high volatility rating may put off some risk-averse players; we recommend managing your bankroll carefully to account for the swings.
Max Win Potential
The maximum payout of the Desperados Wild Megaways slot is 12,500x your bet. If you use the max bet of £20 per spin, the most you can win is £250,000. There is no Desperados Wild Megaways jackpot.
Desperados Wild Megaways Symbols & Payouts
There are 10 standard paying symbols and 2 special symbols in the Desperados Wild Megaways slot. Only the standard symbols are paying symbols. The Bonus Scatter triggers the free spins bonus round, while the Wild Outlaw symbol can take the place of any symbol (except the Bonus Scatter). All payouts are calculated based on your total bet.
