About Mustang Gold Slot
This is a straightforward Western slot machine that combines familiar reels with some potentially rewarding bonus mechanics. Its theme and straightforward, vibrant graphics keep the presentation simple, while the bonus mechanics add more excitement. It manages to be fun and potentially very rewarding (in true Pragmatic Play style) while remaining approachable for casual players. In the following sections, we’ve outlined everything users can expect from the game.
Gameplay Mechanics
This title uses a 5×3 layout with 25 paylines. Players win by landing matching symbols along these paylines, with each winning combination paying according to the paytable. The familiar reel setup makes the game easy to follow, even for newcomers. The gameplay is simple, but the Collect mechanic adds another dimension. Through the latter, players can pocket instant cash wins based on the values attached to Horseshoe symbols.
Theme and Storyline
When users play Mustang Gold, they are transported to the Wild West frontier. The game is set against a desert canyon backdrop. Also, the Ennio Morricone-style soundtrack helps to provide atmosphere. There are some warm, vibrant graphics, but it’s not super bright or bubbly, so fans of cuddly slots should keep looking.
Bonus Features and Jackpot
The Collect feature is the main attraction here, with horseshoe symbols carrying cash values. These can be collected at any stage of the game, whether in the base game or in the bonus round. Horseshoe symbols can land anywhere on the reel grid, with cash values attached. This is a unique approach, with many Collect mechanics restricted to either/or choices. The game also features free spins, during which Collect opportunities become even more frequent. There are four fixed jackpots too, including Grand, Major, Minor and Mini prizes, although these aren’t technically the top prizes.
Bet Size and Limits
This slot game accepts bets from £0.25 to £5.00 per spin. This makes it reasonably accessible to most players, except for those looking to place very small wagers.
RTP and Volatility
The RTP is 96.53%, which is above average, as we’d expect from Pragmatic Play. This means that for every £10 wagered, £9.65 would be returned to players on average. This title has medium-to-high volatility. This means that wins don’t necessarily come up very often, but they aren’t rare, and that larger payouts are perfectly possible.
Max Win Potential
The maximum win is 12,000x the stake, placing this game among the higher-paying Pragmatic Play slots. The typical max win for slots is 5,000x to 10,000x, so this is definitely above average in this respect. The four fixed jackpots are separate from this maximum win, with the Grand jackpot worth 1,000x the stake. The largest win prospects, therefore, come from the game’s bonus features rather than the jackpots.
Symbols & Making a Winning Combination
This game combines several Western-themed premium symbols with lower-value card symbols. The white horse is the highest-paying regular symbol, while the cowboy, cowgirl, and black horse also offer higher possible payouts. The game also includes Wild and Campfire Scatter symbols. Wilds can stand in for any symbol except Scatters, helping players complete paying combinations.
In the following table, we’ve illustrated the possible winnings that different symbol combinations can produce, assuming a stake of £1.
| Symbol | 3x Payout | 4x Payout | 5x Payout |

Pros & Cons
Pragmatic Play keeps things relatively simple with this game, but the Collect mechanic, free spins and four fixed jackpots provide several ways to add excitement to the basic reel gameplay. That said, there are always cons to consider too.
12,000x maximum win
The Collect feature works in the base game as well as the bonus round
Free spins can be retriggered
Four fixed jackpots
Basic visuals
High volatility won’t suit all players
Our Verdict: A Classic Western
This is a fairly traditional slot at heart, but its Western setting, Collect features and retriggerable free spins give it more personality than the basic 5×3 format might suggest. The graphics may feel fairly basic compared with newer Pragmatic Play releases, but they suit the classic Western concept. Players who enjoy straightforward gameplay should find it easy to understand, while the bonus mechanics provide something extra to chase and solid win chances to keep things interesting.
The Collect feature is the real star of the show, but the four fixed jackpots also add another potential source of winnings. Despite this, the 12,000x maximum win comes from the game’s features rather than the jackpots themselves.
